Mumeruki Ruwi Ngarrindjeri Florist

Mumeruki Ruwi is a boutique florist business run by owner / operator Tanya Karpany, a proud Ngarrindjeri woman. In the Ngarrindjeri language Mumeruki means flowers of the bulrush and Ruwi means land/country.

Tanya's Dad is from Raukkan and her Mum from the Coorong. Growing up, Tanya often spent time with family close to Country, gaining an appreciation and love of the land.

Tanya aims to specialise in providing strength and comfort to First Nation and non-Indigenous people by creating floral arrangements that have deep roots in country, thus acknowledging and showing respect for the ancestors of this land.

Tanya was the 2nd place winner for her floristry in the 2023 SA Training Awards, only completing her Certificate III in Floristry in 2023 at TAFE SA, an amazing achievement. Read the TAFE SA article on Tanya, 'Floral tributes to celebrate connection to country' (29 May 2023). https://www.tafesa.edu.au/tafe-sa-news/2023/05/29/floral-tributes-to-celebrate-connection-to-country

At this stage, Tanya's arrangements can be purchased at stalls and events that will be advertised on this site (and via her instagram). Please contact Tanya direct to enquire about larger, commissioned pieces for organisations and businesses.

See Tanya's online Gallery for examples of her work and don't hesitate to contact her for further information.
